aka wall street
Built in 1907, 84 William is a 19-story building located in Lower Manhattan and was designed for the Royal Insurance Company by Howells & Stokes. In 2013 the building underwent a massive renovation and was converted into AKA Wall Street, “a short-term, luxury, long-stay building with 137 rental apartments.”
The concept for this project was to provide a modern window while maintaining the historic exterior feel. Skyline was a good fit because it required a balance of modern high-performing products with the construction challenges of retrofitting an older building. Skyline replaced all of the existing windows with our Series 500-C Inswing Casements and 100i Double Hungs with custom colors.
